The short version: Cubed Crosswords does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. The app makes no network requests, contains no analytics or advertising code, and has no accounts. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
None. We do not collect personal information, usage analytics, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, location, contacts, or any other data. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profile.
The app saves a small amount of information locally so it can remember where you left off. This never leaves your device and is not visible to us:
This is stored using iOS's standard app storage. Deleting the app removes all of it. Note that deleting the app also clears your streak and stats, since there is no server copy to restore from — your premium unlock, by contrast, is tied to your Apple Account and can always be restored.
The app contains no networking code and makes no connections to us or to any third party. The entire puzzle dictionary is bundled inside the app, which is why it works with no internet connection at all.
The one exception is purchases. When you buy or restore the premium unlock, iOS communicates with the App Store directly using Apple's StoreKit framework. That exchange is between your device and Apple. We never see your name, payment details, or Apple Account — we only receive Apple's confirmation that the purchase is valid.
There are none. The app includes no third-party libraries, software development kits, or services of any kind. It uses only frameworks supplied by Apple as part of iOS. Because we collect nothing, there is nothing to sell, share, or disclose — and we do not do any of those things.
Cubed Crosswords is rated 9+ and is safe for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from children, or from anyone else, because we do not collect information at all. The app contains no advertising, no social features, no user-generated content, and no links out to the web. In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple and are subject to whatever Screen Time and Ask to Buy restrictions you have configured.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access or delete. The information stored on your device is entirely under your control and is removed when you delete the app.
If a future version of the app changes how data is handled, we will update this page and change the date at the top before that version is released. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the App Store.
